'Once upon a time, somewhere else over there, far, far away'
There lived some very old people, Grandpa George and his wife Grandma Georgina and Grandpa Joe and his wife Grandma Josephine, though it had long been suspected that Grandma Josephine was actually dead, no-one would say anything for fear of upsetting Grandpa Joe, for who it was said, had a wicked temper.
With them, there lived a young boy called Charlie.
Now, Charlie's parents had disappeared the previous week, they had popped out for a pint of milk and a packet of fags one day and never returned. Grandpa Joe told Charlie on his death bed that his parents had died in an horrendous car crash when Charlie was very small.
Since then Charlie and his Grandparents had be urban renewed to Portsmouth, where they had taken tenancy of a new high rise slum, The Spinnaker Towers.
Come with us now as we journey to the Chocolate factory and the adventures that lay ahead for Charlie & his companions.
