The Panto Menace
Tues 7th Thurs 9th Fri 10th Sat 11th December 1999
Picture the scene (or bring to mind the Star Wars movie) The evil Death Star moves menacingly through the Galaxy, destroying everything in its path. All that can stop its trail of destruction is a small band of Rebel fighters.
Can our heros Luke & Ham rescue the beautiful Princess & deliver the stolen plans of the Death Star to the Rebel Head Quarters, or will the evil and feared Darth Sado have his wicked way with the Rebels...
Sit back and allow yourselves to be sucked into the vacuum that is, Space.
May the Farce be with you.

What The Echo said... Tuesday 7th December 1999
Hope The Farce Stays With Them!
The traditional fight of good agaist evil, and good wins - even in an alterative Talking Heads pantomime.
An excellent cast - the actors playing the leading roles were worthy of professional productions - produced two hours of rollicking entertainment.
Tony Webb's Julian Clary impersonation as C3PO, Steve Cox-O'Rourke's Leonard Rossiter-style Emperor, and a suitably hissing and spluttering turn by Matt Stevens as the evil Darth Sado all impressed.
The female lead Jo Young, as Princess Layher, adopted the persona of Miranda Richardson's Queenie very successfully.
Professional backdrops, video sequences and sound effects all enhanced a gripping production - certainly the best amateur panto I've seen. To all concered in staging the play -
May the farce be with you!
Peter Ashton
