The Wizard of Oz...meets...The Matrix (But only just)
Long ago, in a far off land of Portswood, lived a hapless young girl called Dorothy or Dot to her friends. And to tell you any more would simply ruin the plot!
Needless to say 'Rainbow Reloaded' brings together all the elements of futuristic films, drag acts and classic Christmas movies that the Talking Heads pantomime is known for all over this land that we know as Southampton.
From a hippy scarecrow, a lion with an Elvis complex (or is it the other way round?), to an action man on a mission to seek out missing parts, this production has all the elements of a classic of our time.
Special acknowledgement must be made to the crew who relentlessly persued acts of larceny and in some cases broken curfews to ensure what must be considered one of our most unique sets to date. With illuminations from the highways department, sound by Mutt & Deaf, not to mention (but I'm going to anyway) the bloody minded persistence of the director who promised to stop the ritual beatings if a good performance is delivered by all.
And so to our tale of one girl's journey to find her way home to Portswood (the great unanswered question being Why?). In spite of hinderances from her band of three, aiding and abetting from the Good Witch and continuous attacks from the Wicked Witch and her monkeys, Dot pursues her mission to seek out the great and powerful and all seeing Wizard.
Sit back and relax , numb your senses of good taste and decency, forget culture altogether, as Blag it! Theatre Company is proud to present... Rainbow Reloaded.

We would like to apologize to all the fans of the original 'Wizard Of Oz' production which starred the lovely Judy Garland (God bless her) for the blatant and repetative use of the original dialogue.
All copyright laws have been infringed upon and plagiarism is rife throughout the performance.
We would like to point out that none of our actors are real and any resemblance to real acting is coincidental and should be ignored at all times. All names have been changed for no reason at all.
We would also like to make it clear, to those who may care, that no animals were intentionally harmed during the making of this production, Remember a dog is for Christmas, not for life.
